Beer & Cider Tour
One of the best ways to spend an afternoon is enjoying the craft beer and cider scene that the Niagara area has to offer. With so many unique spots close together, it is very easy to stitch together an itinerary and explore some of the local beers and ciders that are gaining popularity. And with limo brewery tours, this has never been easier.
What is a brewery tour?
A brewery tour takes you through the brewhouse to demonstrate the different processes of brewing beer based on its type. We’ve been on a hunt to find some of the best breweries in the area, and we’ve found some great spots to enjoy craft beer and cider while learning how its made. Our brewery tour has five spots:
- Silversmith Brewery
- The Exchange Brewery
- Ironwood Cider
- Lock St. Brewery
- Niagara College Brewery
Our courteous and professional limo drivers will pick you up anywhere in the Niagara Region, Golden Horseshoe and Greater Toronto Area and take you to each stop. As part of the brewery tour, each person receives three tastings at each brewery location, as well as cold bottled water and glasses for drinking.
What breweries does the tour visit?
Housed in a church dating back to the 1890s, Silversmith Brewery has enough rustic charm and beverages to keep you occupied. Best known for their award-winning Black Lager, this Ontario brewery has its classics on tap for visitors to enjoy, as well as seasonal and limited releases.
The Exchange Brewery
Another brewery in an interesting venue, the Exchange Brewery is housed in what was Niagara’s first telephone exchange. And in a nod to their venue, each beer is numbered, rather than named. Flagship brews are available alongside limited seasonal releases, plus delicious snacks like popcorn and popup culinary menus to sate the appetite as well.
A traditional ‘dry’ cider, Ironwood uses local growers and vendors to ensure that all ciders are made with 100% Ontario fruit. Crisp and refreshing, each small-batch craft cider is made with traditional techniques while ensuring sustainability.
Lock St. Brewery
Complete with a traditional German biergarten, there are plenty of options to try when visiting Lock St. Brewery. Visitors can enjoy their flagship brews on tap, or try some of the seasonal brews only available at this location. Each beer is crafted in traditional German style, and additional ingredients are always from local farms and growers.
Niagara College Brewery
An open-concept teaching micro-brewery facility, this is a great opportunity to try new beers while also helping students learn and perfect their craft! Plus, working in the on-site brewery gives students the opportunity to learn more about employment in the brewery, microbrewery, and brewpub scene.
